Two eateries were robbed of undetermined amounts of money in separate incidents, one of which involved suspects with a handgun.

A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a stocking cap robbed Papa Johns pizza, 646 Main St., about 12:15 a.m. yesterday by using a brick to break an office window. He reached in and grabbed a money bag containing cash and checks, police said.

Ashley Stevens, 18, said she was counting money in a back room when someone pounded on the back door. She saw a man peek into an office window before throwing a brick through it. Ms. Stevens was hit in the right arm with the brick and suffered cuts to her face from the window glass, police said.

About 30 minutes earlier, two men wearing bandanas and carrying a semiautomatic handgun robbed Burger King, 1940 South Byrne Rd., of a cash drawer. An employee, James Bohley, 26, said two men drove up to the drive-thru window. The driver brandished the handgun and demanded money.
