Two South Toledo teenagers were ordered held in the Lucas County Juvenile Detention Center yesterday after they were accused of being involved in a flea market robbery in which an employee was hit on the head with a pistol.

The boys, both 15, were each charged with one count of delinquency in connection with aggravated robbery. They were ordered held in the juvenile facility after detention hearings in Lucas County Juvenile Court. They are scheduled for trials next week.

James Mossburg, 58, who lives and works at J&E Flea Market, 1941 Dorr St., saw one of the boys in the back of the store about 5 p.m. Tuesday and told him to leave. The other boy entered the store, locked the door, said he had a gun, and demanded money, police said.

The second boy cocked the gun, which Mr. Mossburg tried to take because he thought he was going to be shot. The boy hit him on the head several times with the pistol. Both boys fled and were later arrested at a residence on Waverly Avenue.

The victim was treated at the scene for cuts on his head.
