Toledo man treated after assault in bar

5/2/2002

A 27-year-old Toledo man was treated at Riverside Mercy Hospital after he said another patron at the Main Bar and Grill, 422 Main St., hit him with a beer bottle yesterday, authorities said.

James Justice suffered a broken jaw in two places and cuts on his lips and face, authorities said.

Adrian L. Watson, 20, was arrested and charged with felonious assault in the Justice case and on some unrelated warrants. He was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Mr. Justice told police that he and Mr. Watson had “bad words” about a year ago but nothing more until yesterday.
