City man seriously hurt in South Toledo stabbing

6/30/2002

A South Toledo man was hurt seriously yesterday when he was stabbed several times in the chest with a pocket knife during a confrontation with a neighbor, police said.

Michael Veres, of 237 Wasaon St., was taken to Toledo Hospital, where officials declined to release information about his condition at his request.

The stabbing occurred about 1 a.m. after Mr. Veres got into an argument with James Hall, of 233 Wasaon, police said.

Mr. Hall, who was charged with felonious assault, was being held last night in the Lucas County Jail pending arraignment tomorrow in Toledo Municipal Court.
