Insurance firm to search fire-devastated home

8/3/2002

An insurance company's cause and origin team from Columbus will be in Perrysburg Township next week to comb through the ruins of a 6,400-square-foot home that was destroyed by fire Thursday, Perrysburg Fire Chief Dean Woods said yesterday.

The damage to the house, which is on eight acres, and its contents was estimated at more than $1 million, Chief Woods said.

The fire engulfed the home of Walter and Mary Krueger, 26652 West River Rd. about 11:40 a.m. Their three children who were home at the time fled unharmed. A fourth child was at work.

The procedure is related to the family's insurance coverage.
