An 18-year-old man's eyeglasses and cell phone were stolen Friday night after he was assaulted in a grocery store parking lot in Point Place, police said.

Police are investigating whether the suspect's father drove his son to the store and witnessed the assault and robbery.

Alex Jurkiewicz walked out of the Food Town, 5201 Suder Ave. about 10 p.m. and was approached by a teenager he knows from high school.

The suspect pushed the victim and struck him several times in the mouth, knocking out two front teeth. After the assault, Mr. Jurkiewicz's eyeglasses and cell phone were taken. He was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
