12/28/2002

Oregon police are looking for information about a man armed with a silver handgun who robbed a Sunoco gas station of $85 last week.

About 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 16, the man entered the store, 2461 Navarre Ave., through an east door and bought some candy.

As the clerk was giving him change, the suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded the cash.

He took the money - and his candy - and fled east. No vehicle was seen.

The police were able to get surveillance video of the robbery.

The suspect was described as black, in his 30s, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and 170 pounds. He wore blue jeans, a blue shirt, and a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Toledo Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111 or Oregon police Detective Randy Jacobs at 419-698-7069.
