Two dogs escaped through a garage door and three cats were rescued yesterday from a fire at a Perrysburg Township house that started in the garage and spread to the attic.
Township firefighters found the attached garage at 109 Holly Lane engulfed in flames about 8:20 a.m. The blaze spread to the attic, Deputy Chief Mike Dimick said.
It took about 90 minutes to extinguish the fire that caused an estimated $70,000 damage.
The owner, Tim Sherman, was not home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
