ADRIAN — An Adrian man was arraigned in Lenawee County District Court yesterday on charges stemming from a Memorial Day stabbing in the city.

Filognio Campos, 37, was charged with one count each of carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and assault with intent to murder.

According to witnesses who talked to police, Mr. Campos stabbed a 17-year-old Adrian man, Oscar Simon, on Monday after the teen tried to break up a fight at about 7:30 p.m. outside an Erie Street home. The police report indicated that the wound was deep enough to cause serious injury but no organs were affected, so the wound was not life-threatening.
