Bowling Green man pleads not guilty to gun charge

Gregory Euler, 46, was arrested on numerous charges May 21 after sheriff's Sgt. Russ Youngpeter spotted him sleeping in the driver's seat of his car along Belmore Road in southern Wood County. The sergeant said he also noticed a 16-gauge shotgun on the seat near the suspect. Convicted felons cannot legally possess firearms.

Judge Robert Pollex scheduled a jury trial for Euler for Sept. 5.

In an unrelated case, Euler was sentenced last week to nine months in prison on a felony charge of vehicular assault, stemming from an incident in 2002. In addition, he was ordered to serve two concurrent six-month prison sentences for probation violations.
