Police seek drive-through bandit after pair of west side robberies

Police said they believe a man who robbed a West Toledo restaurant at its drive-through window on Friday pulled a similar robbery in recent weeks.

The man pointed a gun at a female employee at the Burger King at 1441 Secor Rd. at 1:30 p.m. Friday and demanded money, police said.

The employee ducked out of sight, but the man jumped out of his car and grabbed money from the cash drawer.

He then got back into his vehicle and fled south on Secor.

He was believed to have been in the restaurant an hour earlier, police said.

He fled in a 1980s bright red, two-door Oldsmobile Cutlass with chrome wheels and a raised rear end.

The vehicle was believed to have been used in a similar robbery at the drive-through window of a different restaurant, police said.
