Toledo convenience store robberies may be linked

Two robberies Tuesday in northwest Toledo may be the work of the same suspects, police said yesterday.

The first robbery occurred about 1:30 p.m. at the Korner Carryout, 702 Sylvania Ave. Two men walked into the store — one holding a pistol — and demanded money and lottery tickets. The men then fled.

In the second robbery at the In and Out Mart, 5830 Douglas Rd., a male entered the store with a gun and demanded money. The man was seen jumping in the trunk of a red sedan.

Toledo police Capt. Mark Mason said a red sedan was seen at another armed robbery Monday at a convenience store.
