9/13/2003

The Lucas County sheriff's office is seeking information on a man who used a debit card stolen from a woman's car to buy tools at an Airport Highway store.

The woman's purse was taken Aug. 21 after someone broke the passenger-side window of her car, which was parked in the lot of the Texas Road House, 6137 Trust Dr., Springfield Township.

The woman learned her debit card was used the same day at two locations, including Lowe's, 5501 Airport. The man bought $385 worth of tools about 7:35 p.m. Someone tried to use the card at a grocery store about 15 minutes later, but it was declined, according to a sheriff's office report.

The man is described as slim and white, about 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He has dirty blond hair that was in a ponytail, a moustache, and goatee, and wore glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Toledo Crime Stopper program, 419-255-1111.
