A North Toledo bank was robbed yesterday, a day after two men held up a North Toledo credit union, authorities said.

A man entered the Charter One Bank branch, 3250 Lagrange St., about 12:20 p.m. yesterday, passed a demand note to a teller, and received an undisclosed amount of money. The Toledo FBI said the suspect was seen running east on Lagrange with an unknown male companion.

Both males were described as black with medium builds. The robber was 17 to 25 years old and 5 feet, 9 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He had a medium complexion, was unshaven, and had a light moustache.

He was wearing a gray, hooded, long-sleeved sweatshirt, black pants, white tennis shoes, and a red baseball cap.

His companion was 17 or 18 years old and 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was dark-complected and was wearing a white T-shirt and light blue baseball cap.

At about the same time on Wednesday, two males robbed the A.P. Credit Union, 3907 North Detroit Ave., of an undisclosed amount of cash.

They approached a teller, demanded money, and ran out the front door. They may have entered a car driven by a female that left the lot southbound on Detroit and ran red lights, Toledo police said.

Those suspects were described as black, in their 20s, with medium builds, and wearing sunglasses. One wore a dark, hooded sweatshirt and a red baseball cap, possibly with a Toledo Mud Hens or bird logo. He had bad teeth, including a gold tooth in the front.

His accomplice wore a denim outfit, including a floppy denim hat.

They may have fled in a white Buick Park Avenue.
