Teens held in paintball attack at restaurant

Two teenagers remained jailed yesterday in Bowling Green after the inside of a McDonald s restaurant in Northwood was riddled with paintballs from a couple of blowguns Sunday.

A third teenager arrested because she was accompanying the two has been released.

Joshua Pendleton, 18, of Milbury remained in the Wood County Justice Center yesterday on $27,750 bond set by Perrysburg Municipal Judge S. Dwight Osterud. Mr. Pendleton is charged with inducing panic, criminal damaging, and contaminating food for human consumption.

Heather Kohne, 18, of Oregon was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor but was not held. Miss Kohne is to appear Thursday in Northwood Mayor s Court.

None of the store employees or its handful of customers was hit or injured in the attack, which happened about 8:15 p.m. Workers, though, had to throw away food contaminated by the episode, police said.

Northwood police were investigating another incident in which a vehicle was hit by paintballs nearby when the McDonald s incident occurred. The driver of the vandalized vehicle wrote down the license plate number of the suspected vehicle, police said.

Officer Mike Wilkinson stopped a Jeep Cherokee in the area that matched a license plate number of the one taken at the scene.

Police said Mr. Pendleton and Miss Kohne were arrested after officers found evidence from the McDonald s incident and property stolen in a previous burglary.
