Two masked men with handguns robbed a North Toledo credit union of an undisclosed amount of money yesterday after ordering everyone to the floor and after at least one of suspects jumped over the counter, Toledo police said.

The men entered the Mutual Federal Credit Union, 1353 Gage Rd., about 9:20 a.m. and ordered the employees and customers to the floor. At least one of the robbers jumped the counter, demanded money, and took cash from a teller drawer, Detective Kermit Quinn said.

Authorities said the men drove off in an older-model, dark blue sedan in an unknown direction on Gage. The Toledo FBI said both men are described as black, in their 30s, wearing gloves, and carrying semiautomatic guns.

One stood 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build and wore a black mask with eye, mouth, and nose holes, and a black puffy coat. His accomplice wore dark clothing, a ski mask, and dark athletic shoes. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111 or the FBI at 419-243-6122.
