Toledo police seeking bank robbery information

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a man who robbed a downtown bank Jan. 23.

The man entered KeyBank, 245 North Superior St., about 4:15 p.m. and demanded money from a teller.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber ran from the bank and was last seen heading west on Madison Avenue, police said.

The man was described as being black, 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with a medium build.

He had brown eyes and was wearing a large tan or green coat and a dark knit cap, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.

There is a $2,000 reward for information in the case in addition to Crime Stopper reward money.
