Arraignment continued in a shaken-baby case

3/19/2004

The arraignment of an East Toledo man accused in a shaken-baby incident involving his own 3-month-old son was continued yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Terry Moll, 28, appeared before Judge Robert Christiansen for arraignment on one count each of felonious assault and child endangering.

Judge Christiansen continued the hearing until Monday to allow Moll to appear with a court-appointed attorney.

Moll was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

Investigators said the baby's mother left her son in the care of Moll at the couple's home at 2314 Caledonia St. on March 6.

The next day, she took the baby to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was diagnosed with shaken-baby syndrome, authorities said.
