Toledo man arrested in east side bank holdup

A Toledo man was arrested yesterday and charged with the robbery Wednesday of a KeyBank branch in East Toledo in which a dye pack with the money exploded as the robber was fleeing.

Chris Kelly, 21, of 1021 Blum St., who was charged with robbery, was being held in the Lucas County jail.

Police received information he was involved in the holdup of the branch, 324 Main St. He was found about 1:30 p.m. yesterday in the Weiler Homes, arrested on outstanding warrants, and taken to police headquarters downtown for questioning, and then charged with the robbery.
