Bowling Green man denies guilt in homicide

BOWLING GREEN - A Bowling Green man charged with murdering his live-in girlfriend has pleaded not guilty in Wood County Common Pleas Court.

William Ball, 35, is charged with the killing Feb. 29 of Michelle Descant, 24, at the South Summit Street home they shared. An autopsy showed she had been cut on the neck multiple times and bled to death.

Ball called Bowling Green police and confessed.

Judge Reeve Kelsey continued Ball's bond at $750,000 and scheduled a pre-trial hearing for June 1. Ball is being held in the Wood County jail.
