FINDLAY - The 27-year-old woman whose single-car crash led to a power outage at 1,800 homes and businesses last month was charged this week with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, and failure to control.

Heather Zellers, of 403 East Lincoln St., Findlay, was charged by Findlay police. She was discharged April 30 from St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo where she had been flown after the crash on North Main Street just before 4 a.m. April 19.

American Electric Power disconnected power from 1,800 customers from 6:53 a.m. to 8:04 a.m. to repair damage to the utility pole Ms. Zellers hit, according to a power company spokesman.
