5/20/2004

Two people were arrested and an arrest warrant was issued for a third person after a burglary yesterday at a West Toledo residence where police found more than 40 marijuana plants.

Police charged Clayton A. Carpenter, 19, of Lambertville, with burglary to the residence, 3940 Revere Drive. Joy G. Webster, 19, of the Revere address, was charged with drug abuse/possession of marijuana and illegal cultivation of marijuana.

Warrants have been issued for Nicholas J. Barnes, 23, also of the Revere address, charging him with drug abuse/possession of marijuana and illegal cultivation of marijuana.

Police were sent to the address on a burglary call and found the plants growing in a spare bedroom. They confiscated the two-inch-tall plants, which at full maturity would have had an estimated street value of $68,800, Sgt. Bob Marzec said.
