Toledo police said the 34-year-old woman injured in a crash Friday night after leading Oregon Police on a chase was Lisa Reece, of 114 Poplar St.

Ms. Reece remained hospitalized in serious condition in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center yesterday, a hospital spokesman said.

Toledo police said Ms. Reece was fleeing from Oregon police on York Street when she drove into Toledo at a high rate of speed. Oregon police halted their pursuit at York and Otter Creek Road.

Authorities said the woman lost control of her vehicle at a railroad crossing near Wheeling Street and struck two parked vehicles. Police said all three vehicles sustained heavy damage.

Ms. Reece had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to St. Vincent after the accident.

Oregon police reported that the driver of the chased vehicle gave them a false name when they originally investigated the vehicle about 9:20 p.m. at York and Lallendorf Road.

Police said the driver drove off when they identified her as a motorist with a suspended license and ordered her to step out of the vehicle.
