Clues sought in slaying of woman, 26

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the killing last week of a 26-year-old woman at her residence at 1142 Oakwood Ave.

The body of Cori Michelle Key, was found about 6:30 p.m. July 31. She had been stabbed once in the chest.

The mother of two boys, she worked at Flower Hospital and had recently obtained her licensed practical nurse certification.

Police have identified "a person of interest" but have not ruled out other possibilities, Lt. Bill Moton said yesterday.

During a news conference, he and Mayor Jack Ford asked citizens for help in the case.

The city is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible.

Callers may remain anonymous and also may be eligible for a cash reward from the program.
