MONROE - A pair of Monroe men were arraigned in Monroe County District Court yesterday on armed robbery charges related to a Saturday night holdup at a service station.

Charles Clever, 34, and John Case, 56, were in the county jail last night with bail set at $100,000 each, sheriff's deputies said.

They allegedly entered the Sunoco station at 1153 North Telegraph Rd. about 9:30 p.m. and pulled a handgun on the clerk, deputies said. One of the suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing on foot with the other suspect.

Lt. Brett Ortolano and his canine partner, Drake, tracked the suspects to a home at 1517 Stewart Rd., where they were arrested without incident at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
