Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the theft of an Appliance Center truck and the appliances that were inside it.

The truck was stolen shortly after 10 a.m. Sept. 14 from the 2000 block of Airport Highway while employees were making a delivery, police said.

It was recovered about three hours later behind the 1100 block of Walbridge Avenue. More than a dozen appliances, including washers, refrigerators, stoves, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a videocassette recorder, were missing. Only a stove was still inside the truck, police said.

The suspect was described as white, in his 30s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a medium build and dark hair. He was wearing a blue or gray T-shirt.

Anyone with information about the man or the missing appliances is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
