2 Lima men are charged with cocaine possession

LIMA, Ohio - Two Lima men were arrested yesterday and charged with possession of cocaine after a raid at a duplex on the city's west side, authorities said.

Javen White, 24, and Percy Whiteside, 33, are being held in the Allen County jail pending arraignments Monday in Lima Municipal Court.

Police received numerous calls reporting shots fired around the city about 2:30 a.m. and located a vehicle they believed was involved. Officers traced some of the occupants to the duplex.

Police served simultaneous search warrants at the residence and seized marijuana, crack cocaine, ecstasy, video surveillance equipment, and two loaded firearms believed to have been involved in the shooting incidents.

Authorities said several other Lima men were found inside the duplex. However, no other charges had been filed yesterday.
