A 19-year-old Toledoan was shot in the neck and the mouth yesterday after he was involved in a quarrel at a service station at Monroe Street and Secor Road, Toledo police said.

Police identified the shooting victim as Anthony G. Snow, Jr., who lives on Machen Street.

Officers were summoned to the Kroger store, 4533 Monroe St., at 12:40 a.m. after a man entered the store and said he had been shot at the adjacent Shell convenience store, 4581 Monroe.

Witnesses in a vehicle with Mr. Snow told police that a GMC pickup bumped them in the back while waiting for a traffic light at Monroe and Secor. The two vehicles pulled into the parking lot of the service station.

The witnesses said two men jumped from the truck, one holding a gun. The pickup driver accused the men in the other vehicle of breaking out a window in his truck, police said.

The gunman from the truck fired shots, with one hitting Mr. Snow.

The truck fled southbound on Secor after the shooting. The pickup was described as white with large tires and outfitted with a toolbox in the bed with diamond designs.

Police said Mr. Snow was taken to Toledo Hospital for treatment, but the hospital said it did not have information on a person by Mr. Snow's name.

Officers found two 9mm shell casings at the scene, reports said. The shooting was under investigation.
