A downtown hotel was robbed yesterday morning by two men, police said.

The robbers entered the Hotel SeaGate, 141 North Summit St., about 3:55 a.m. and ordered witnesses behind a counter, then demanded keys to a safe. The two left with about $700 cash before fleeing south on Summit, according to a police report.

The report said the surveillance camera did not record the event. The robbers were described as black men of unknown age wearing dark clothing. No further information was available, police said.
