HILLSDALE - A Hillsdale couple was in the county jail last night on firearms larceny charges stemming from an October robbery.

Bail has been set at $30,000 for Michael Wolfe and $20,000 for Candy Jo Lambright, both 18.

Mr. Wolfe additionally has been charged with receiving and concealing stolen firearms and altering the identification of a weapon. Ms. Lambright also has been charged with receiving and concealing stolen firearms.

The pair allegedly stole nine guns and a bow from a Hillsdale County home and sold them for amounts ranging from $50 to $100, according to Detective C.J. Gochanour at the Michigan State Police's Jonesville post.

Troopers said they broke the case after locating a 15-year-old youth who had possession of one of the stolen weapons, a 380-caliber handgun.

Troopers issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Wolfe and Ms. Lambright on Friday.

On Saturday, Ms. Lambright turned up at police headquarters to file a complaint against Mr. Wolfe. After running a check on her, police arrested Ms. Lambright and later arrested Mr. Wolfe, Detective Gochanour said.

Troopers said they have recovered six of the stolen weapons.
