Toledoan arraigned in employer's murder

A Toledo man accused of shooting to death his employer over an argument about money was arraigned yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Eric Babos, 41, of 5055 1/2 Golden St. pleaded not guilty to murder. Judge Gary Cook ordered him held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $300,000 cash bond. A pretrial hearing is set for Jan. 19.

Mr. Babos was arrested Wednesday in the Dec. 15

shooting death of John Riebe of 5129 Talmadge Rd. He was found at his home by his daughters when they returned home from Arbor Hills Junior High School.

Mr. Babos was an assistant in the heating and air conditioning business of the victim.
