A man who claimed he had a gun yesterday robbed a West Toledo bank branch of an undetermined amount of money.
The robber entered the Charter One Bank branch at 4260 Monroe St. about 9:40 a.m., told a teller he had a gun, and demanded money. The teller complied and the man ran west on Monroe, authorities said.
No weapon was seen. The man was described as 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a red-and-blue flannel jacket, dark-colored sweat pants, and a knit hat.
