Sylvania Township police search for bank robber

Sylvania Township police are seeking tips on a man who robbed a KeyBank branch on West Central Avenue this week.

The man entered the bank, 7350 West Central, about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and passed a demand note. He fled with about $500 and ran in an easterly direction, police said.

He was described as white; in his early to mid 40s; 5 feet, 7 inches tall; 225 pounds, with a stocky build and salt-and-pepper moustache and beard.

He was wearing a black knit stocking cap, zip-up navy blue sweatshirt/jacket with hood, blue jeans, and a black glove on his left hand.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the robber's arrest and prosecution.
