BOWLING GREEN - A county-owned pickup used by the Wood County Emergency Management Agency and valued at more than $30,000 caught fire Thursday while parked outside Wood County Hospital.
The truck that the county purchased about two months agocaught fire about 7:30 a.m. Eric Larson, director of the emergency management agency, had parked it while he attended a meeting at the hospital.
The fire destroyed not only the vehicle's interior, but also a heart monitor valued at $21,000, a laptop computer, and a radio left inside the car.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
