Police follow foot prints to suspects in burglary

Toledo police said they traced footprints in the snow yesterday morning to find a man and a woman suspected in an East Toledo burglary.

The man also was charged with a bank robbery in Tuesday s holdup of a Maumee Sky Bank branch, police said.

Lewis Rohda, 43, no permanent address, was charged with burglary and robbery. Jodi Specht, 28, of 5633 McLain Drive, Sylvania Township, was charged with burglary. Both were in the Lucas County jail.

Police said the pair was arrested about 11:45 a.m. yesterday at 1335 Oak St. Officers found them after following footprints in the snow leading away from a house that was the site of a burglary in the 1500 block of Pool Street.

During the arrests, police learned Mr. Rohda was wanted on a warrant from Maumee. He allegedly handed a teller a note during a holdup and fled with cash about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.
