HILLSDALE - A second man has been charged in the November hunting death of a Taylor, Mich., man.

A pretrial hearing for Dean Thompson, 28, also of Taylor, Mich., is scheduled for Monday in Hillsdale Circuit Court. He is facing a felony firearm possession charge.

Mr. Thompson, Christopher Nagle, 22, of Taylor, and Michael Aguirre, 27, were deer hunting Nov. 14 in a swampy area on the north edge of Hillsdale when Nagle's gun discharged, striking Mr. Aguirre in his left eye, killing him, Hillsdale police said.

Nagle pleaded no contest Jan. 25 to careless discharge of a firearm causing injury or death. He will be sentenced March 14 and could receive up to two years in prison and a $2,000 fine.
