Fremont police hunt 2 in restaurant holdup try

FREMONT Fremont police are looking for two men who fired gunshots while attempting to hold up a restaurant in Fremont Thursday night.

Two workers at Chud s on Napoleon Street told police that two men entered the restaurant about 10:30 p.m.

One man approached the counter, and the other went behind the register. Each grabbed an employee. One worker was thrown to the ground. The other pushed an emergency alarm button. The thieves then fled on foot without taking any money.

As the pair left, one fired two shots at the restaurant.

Both were described as black and at least 6 feet tall. One had a slim build and a goatee and was wearing a cap and dark clothing. The other was stocky, had dreadlocks, and carried a gun.
