Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a robbery Wednesday during which the manager of a west-side store was bound with tape.

Eric Leonhardt walked to his office inside the Dollar General store, 1734 West Laskey Rd., about 9 a.m. and was confronted by two black males wearing ski masks who broke into the store by forcing open a back door.

One suspect had a handgun, police said.

The robbers demanded money, but the manager had none. They then grabbed him, hit him on the back of the head, and bound his hands and feet. The suspects went to the office and tried to open the safe, police said.

A few minutes later, a co-worker could not get into the store.

The manager crawled to the front of the store and opened the door, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.

Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
