An East Toledo woman was arraigned yesterday after police charged her with abduction after she forced a 12-year-old girl she knew to leave Lucas County Children Services with her last week.

Gloria Jaso, 48, of 908 Butler St. was released from the county jail after posting a $500 bond after arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court.

She is accused of taking the girl from the agency's downtown Toledo office without permission Thursday. She verbally forced the girl to leave with her, court records indicate.

The girl, who was seen on video leaving with two people, was found safe about 90 minutes later in a car driven by Angela Jaso, 23, of Toledo. Police also charged Angela Jaso, who came into the agency with a group of people, two of whom left with the preteen.

The girl was returned to children services and was placed in foster care, authorities said.
