ATTICA, Ohio - A Seneca County woman and a Detroit man were arrested Monday during a heroin raid at her home in Attica, authorities said.

Law enforcement officers from Seneca and Huron counties executed a search warrant at the home of Christy Johnston at 17530 East U.S. 224 and seized nearly 50 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, criminal tools, and cash, said Tiffin police Detective Charles Boyer, coordinator of the Seneca County Drug Task Force.

Detective Boyer said the heroin seizure was the largest ever in Seneca County, and he estimated the drug's street value at $10,000.

Ms. Johnston, 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to pay a court fine in Huron County. Lawrence Clark II, 24, of Detroit was charged with two counts of possession of heroin, one a second-degree felony, and the other a third-degree felony.

Bond was set at $250,000 yesterday for Mr. Clark during an initial appearance in Tiffin Municipal Court.

Mr. Clark remained in the Seneca County jail last night, officials said.
