FREMONT - The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a man whose body was found Tuesday in a semi-tractor at a rest stop along U.S. 6 in Sandusky County, troopers said yesterday.

Authorities have not released the man's identity, pending notification of relatives.

The patrol's Fremont post received a phone call at 4:36 p.m. reporting a possible death at the rest area, just west of State Rt. 53. A trooper arrived at the rest area three minutes later, met the caller, and saw the body of a white male in the truck's cab.

The trooper called for emergency medical services. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He did not have any visible injuries. His body was taken to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.
