A University of Toledo student was cut several times yesterday while being accosted by two males outside UT's Health and Human Services Building in what police said may have been a robbery attempt.

Cassandra Livingston, 22, of West Toledo, who was cut in the left thigh, right shoulder, and neck, was in fair condition in Toledo Hospital.

The males came up behind her about 11:15 a.m. and grabbed her bookbag. During a struggle, she was cut with a knife. The males fled without getting anything.

She called for help on a nearby campus emergency phone, UT police said.

One of the males was black, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a raspy voice and wearing a green hooded jumpsuit or jogging suit. The other was white, about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and possibly with a tattoo on his neck that looked like a dagger.
