BOWLING GREEN - A Bowling Green man with four drunken-driving convictions was arrested over the weekend for operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

Andres Alvarez, 43, is to appear in Bowling Green Municipal Court tomorrow on the charge, his fifth lifetime drunk-driving offense and second within six years.

Troopers with the Walbridge post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said Mr. Alvarez was arrested about 4:10 p.m. Saturday after he was seen driving slowly and failing to use his turn signal on Mitchell Road near Sand Ridge Road just southwest of Bowling Green.

At the Bowling Green police department, his blood-alcohol level registered at .110 percent, troopers said.

A motorist is considered drunk in Ohio if the driver's blood-alcohol level is 0.08 percent or more.
