Monroe County to patrol bad intersections

MONROE - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office will beef up patrols this week at intersections with high crash rates, the department said yesterday.

A spotter and several chase cars will be used to identify and stop motorists who run red lights and commit other traffic violations.

The intersections with extra patrols will include:

●South Telegraph Road at Dunbar Road, 6 to 11 a.m. today.

●M-50 at South Raisinville Road, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.

●Secor Road at Sterns Road, 6 to 11 a.m. Thursday.

●Lewis Avenue at Sterns, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

●North Telegraph Road at Mall Road, 6 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
