A man and woman were indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury for running up nearly $10,000 in debts on charge accounts opened in the name of a victim whose purse was stolen from her vehicle last month.

Aaron Spearing, 25, of 1318 Brooke Park Drive, Apt. 3, was indicted on one count each of identity fraud and theft. Andrea Zigray, 29, of Temperance, was indicted on one count of identity fraud and two counts of forgery.

Prosecutors said information in the purse was used to obtain credit cards at several retail stores, including Harold Jaffe Jewelers, 4211 Talmadge Rd., where a Rolex watch and other jewelry were purchased on Feb. 28.

The purse was stolen on Feb. 22 from a car in a parking lot in the 4900 block of Monroe Street.
