An East Toledo man is to appear in court this week on his fifth drunken-driving offense after Ohio Highway Patrol troopers saw him driving left of center several times in Lake Township.

Norman Kutz, 54, of 826 Butler St., was being held in the Wood County jail yesterday in lieu of a $2,480 bond. He is scheduled to appear Thursday in Perrysburg Municipal Court on the charges of felony drunken driving, driving left of center, and failure to reinstate his license.

Troopers stopped the station wagon he was driving about 10:55 p.m. Friday on State Rt. 51 near Walbridge Road. He was arrested for drunken driving and taken to the Walbridge patrol post, where he refused a Breathalyzer test, Lt. Dean Laubacher said.
