Charges dropped in Rudolph knifing

4/6/2005

BOWLING GREEN - Charges have been dropped against a Rudolph, Ohio, woman accused of stabbing a Weston, Ohio, man with a steak knife.

Yvonne Nickell, 41, had been scheduled to go to trial yesterday in Wood County Common Pleas Court for felonious assault.

The county prosecutor's office asked Judge Reeve Kelsey to dismiss the charge "due to evidentiary reasons."

Ms. Nickell was indicted by a Wood County grand jury in February, 2004, for the August, 2003, stabbing of Michael Sanders, 42, after the two had a dispute at her home.
