City man faces 4-count federal drug indictment

A four-count indictment against a 32-year-old Toledo man was filed yesterday in U.S. District Court charging him with conspiring to possess cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute and with unlawful use of a communication facility.

Kelvin Gist, of 5637 Swan Creek Drive, was arrested in February with eight others as a result of a six-month investigation that targeted a drug-trafficking operation in Toledo and other unidentified areas.

The investigation involved confidential sources, wiretaps, and conversations, some of which occurred at The Zone, a clothing store on Dorr Street authorities said was owned by Gist, court records state.
