Information needed in attacks on house

4/9/2005

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the suspects who fired at a house at 641 Hamilton St., hitting an 18-year-old woman several times.

Janee Curtis of Toledo was in serious condition yesterday at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after the 5:45 a.m. Saturday shooting. She was shot in the hip and back, police said.

Police were called to the house at about 4:45 a.m. after someone shot at it. No one was hurt.

About an hour later, a second shooting was reported at the same address. During that round of gunfire, Ms. Curtis was shot. She was at the residence playing cards at the time of the shooting, police said.

Police have not identified the suspects in the case.

Anyone with information about them is asked to call Crime Stopper. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
