LIMA, Ohio - A Lima man has been arrested and charged with using an online service to trade child pornography.

Roy A. Nichols, 42, was arraigned Thursday in Lima Municipal Court on one count of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. He was being held in the Allen County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 6.

Using information provided by America Online and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police traced the activity to a Madison Street residence, where they seized four computers and nearly 20 additional hard drives. Police said a search of one of the drives yielded "thousands of images of child pornography."
